We get asked by web sites all the time to check the box to approve their privacy policies. Do you read them? I didn't think so. They're complicated and dull to read, and change all the time. Who can be bothered? Well, it does matter, because the obtusely written policies set out how companies gather data about us, how they use the information and with whom they share the details.
